Don’t Miss Your $10K Bonus: Switch Your Airbnb by 31st December 2025
If you own a property listed on Airbnb or another short-stay platform, this is your final reminder to take advantage of Western Australia’s $10,000 Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) Incentive Scheme.
The deadline to convert your property into a long-term rental is midnight, 31st December 2025 (AWST).
What You Need to Know About the Incentive
The STRA Incentive Scheme offers $10,000 to eligible property owners who convert an un-hosted short-term rental into a 12-month long-term lease.
Here are the key details:
- Applications close 31st December 2025 (AWST), unless funding runs out earlier.
- The property must have been advertised or occupied as a short-term rental between 20th May 2025 and 30th June 2025.
- The new long-term tenancy must start after 30th June 2025 and no later than 31st December 2025.
- The $10,000 incentive is paid in two stages:
- $4,000 after your application is approved
- $6,000 once the 12-month lease is successfully completed
- $4,000 after your application is approved
Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late
